Join French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust on February 10, 2019 at 9:00 AM for a field trip to Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Kleinfeltersville to witness the annual waterfowl migration. You can expect to see snow geese, tundra swans, Canada Geese, and many different species of ducks.
In 2018, the largest snow geese population on record was there February 22nd and estimates came in at 200,000 birds. There were about 5,500 tundra swans there that same day. (Please keep in mind, these numbers are estimates and the number of birds is subject to rapid and dramatic change based on weather and temperatures.)
In addition to bird watching, attendees will take a hike around the preserve. Please bring a bagged lunch, binoculars, warm clothes, good walking/hiking shoes, and your lunch.
You must RSVP for this hike. Once you RSVP, you’ll receive details and updates.
