This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. Over the past three decades, there have been many individuals who brought their unique vision and energy to the Corridor. These visionaries came from near and far to inspire connections, laying the groundwork for a dynamic movement that has revitalized the entire region, with the Delaware and Lehigh Trail as its centerpiece.
Historical figures like Josiah White, Erskine Hazard, and Asa Packer played a major role in designing and building the railroad that helped fuel the Industrial Revolution. Now, it’s time to recognize modern-day heroes, geniuses, and leaders who were vital in the first 30 years of the Corridor and its signature programs.
